17 Dec ACT AFRICA COLLABORATES WITH STOP TB NIGERIA IN THE ORGANIZATION OF THE NATIONAL TB CONFERENCE IN NIGERIA
The African Coalition on Tuberculosis (ACT AFRICA) supports the organization of the National TB Conference in Nigeria which is aimed at galvanising stakeholders to accelerate innovative solutions and advocate for increased investments in TB research and treatment ultimately striving towards the goal of ending this preventable disease by 2032.
The conference which took place at the trade fair centre in Abuja from 10-12 December, 2024 brought together an assemblage of over two thousand participants including experts from 60 countries for the sharing of knowledge, best practices, insights, innovations to contribute to the shaping of evidence-based policies in TB control.
The conference among others enabled the showcasing of ground-breaking research and innovations, improving linkage between TB and other social determinants of health and engaging experts across sectors to drive meaningful engagements.
Some highlights of the conference included plenary sessions, panel discussions, exhibition booths and some notable community engagement breakthroughs.
